Things to Do in Seminole County
Five areas, from Sanford's lakefront to the Wekiva River.
We split Seminole County into five areas that match how most people explore it. Sanford and its Lake Monroe waterfront make a full day on their own. Lake Mary and the Altamonte Springs and Longwood corridor are good for an afternoon of parks and dinner, Oviedo and Winter Springs lead out to Lake Jesup and the Econlockhatchee River, and the Wekiva and St. Johns River country is where you go to paddle and hike.
Bookable tours are limited here compared with Orlando, so each section shows what Viator and Tiqets currently offer for that area and our notes on places to go on your own. Many of the county's best outings, from Big Tree Park to the Cross Seminole Trail, cost little or nothing.
Things to Do in Lake Mary
A small downtown around Central Park, lakeside dining and an easy SunRail stop.
Things to Do in Oviedo and Winter Springs
Lake Jesup airboats and wildlife, the Econ River and the Cross Seminole Trail.
Things to Do in Altamonte Springs and Longwood
Cranes Roost Park, the ancient cypress at Big Tree Park and old Longwood.
